ACCESS
- For general building access, contact Vanderbilt Basic Sciences Human Resources or F.I.R.M. vbs-firm@vanderbilt.edu
- Keys are obtained from our Biochemistry Keymaster

- All Biochemistry Faculty are allotted two conference room keys — one personal key and one communal key which should be placed in a central location accessible to all lab members. See below on details for making room reservations.
- For keycard access and after-hours access to the 6th floor Light Hall shared lab space, please use the “badge/door access request” link on the VUMC Facilities Management website: https://www.vumc.org/facilities/welcome
- Provide an email address of the responsible Principle Investigator on the VUMC access form. The mentoring PI must respond to an authentication email to authorize access. Response time is 24-72 hours, depending on weekday/weekend timeframe.
- Emergency access is now allowed only by VUPD officers who will provide escort into and out of restricted spaces. Call VUPD at 615-322-2745 or through the VandySafe phone app. There is no longer an emergency phone number or email enabling access into restricted areas.
- Keycard access must be re-authorized if a keycard is lost/replaced

Mobility Rides
Students requiring medical or accessibility assistance must register for Mobility Rides through the Student Access Office.
- To access pre-approved rides, contact Student Access via the online portal or at (615) 343-9727;
- Pregnant students with accessibility needs should register and receive approval from the Title IX Office. Submit the Pregnancy Accommodation Request Form through the Title IX Office’s website or contact them at 615-343-9004 or TitleIX@Vanderbilt.edu for inquiries regarding accommodations.
Faculty and staff seeking medical or accessibility assistance should register and obtain approval through the Equal Opportunity and Access Office.
