Benjamin J. Danzo
Benjamin J. Danzo, Ph.D., joined Vanderbilt as a postdoctoral trainee in 1971, started his own laboratory, and taught Biochemistry for 33 years. Dr. Danzo was named professor of obstetrics and gynecology, emeritus, and research professor of biochemistry, emeritus in May 2004.

The Destination Biochemistry Benjamin Danzo Postdoctoral Scholar Award was set up in his memory, to provide means and encouragement for other young scientists to study at Vanderbilt.
