Vivien Casagrande honored at the Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting in San Diego

Vivien Casagrande, Ph.D. was posthumously inducted into the Patricia Goldman-Rakic Hall of Honor at the recent Society for Neuroscience meeting in San Diego.

The Patricia Goldman-Rakic Hall of Honor is a posthumous award for a neuroscientist who pursued career excellence and exhibited dedication to the advancement of women in neuroscience.

The recipient is recognized at the Celebration of Women in Neuroscience Luncheon held during the SfN annual meeting and the family of the deceased honoree receives an engraved Tiffany & Co. crystal bowl.

BethAnn McLaughlin, Ph.D. won the Louise Hanson Marshall Special Recognition Award at the recent Society for Neuroscience meeting in San Diego.

The Louise Hanson Marshall Special Recognition Award honors an individual who has significantly promoted the professional development of women in neuroscience through teaching, organizational leadership, public advocacy, or other efforts that are not necessarily research-related.

Recipients receive complimentary registration, transportation (economy air or ground), and two nights’ hotel accommodations for the SfN annual meeting. The award is presented at the Celebration of Women in Neuroscience Luncheon held during the meeting.
