Rong Sun

Dr. Rong Sun got his Bachelor degree of Physics at Sun Yat-sen University. And Dr. Sun completed his Ph.D. in Dr. Guoqiang Bi’s lab at University of Science and Technology of China. One of his Ph.D. research projects focused on cryo correlative light and electron microscopy of synapses in cultured neurons. And he also developed a room temperature correlative light and electron microscopy of synapses in cultured neurons based on self-designed micro-patterning PDMS substrate. In Dr. Zhou’s lab, he will use cryoEM as a main tool to explore the molecular mechanism and structural basis of neuronal activities in synapses.
