Hey, I’m Shreyas. I’m excited to tell you about all Vanderbilt University School of Medicine has to offer, particularly the unique curriculum and support you’ll find here. The accelerated pre-clinical year, though challenging, allowed me to begin testing my ideal field of interest at an earlier stage in my medical education. The Vanderbilt Program in Interprofessional Learning (VPIL) has offered a unique glimpse into how I can foster more complete and compassionate care in my future clinical practice, working with students from nursing, pharmacy, and social work/counseling on an interprofessional team. Finally, our student body inspires and supports one another through wellness events like College Cup, and I know that my success in medical school would not be possible without this community. I’ve served on our Council of Class Officers, a group of elected students who represent class interests and concerns. We work with our administration and classmates to constantly improve medical education at VUSM. You’ll find great support from classmates, faculty, and our deans.
Fun fact about me: My go-to karaoke song is “I Want It That Way” by the Backstreet Boys.
