Curriculum 2.0 is a responsive, agile system of lifelong learning. Our health care system is rapidly evolving and it’s essential that we prepare our students with the skills necessary to adapt to that changing environment. Our innovative curriculum prepares students to succeed in the future by focusing on how to learn and teaching them to understand concepts and relations, as opposed to memorizing facts.
The ability for our students to individualize their curriculum is one of the highlights of Curriculum 2.0. Students tailor course selection based on the experiences they’ve had, what they might want to do with their career, and it works well for those that don’t know what they want to do with their career. We offer the time and opportunity to explore and figure out what they want to do for the rest of their life.
We want to establish early in our students’ training the skills, desire, and curiosity to learn for the rest of their career. Establishing those habits and practices now equips them with the tools necessary for lifelong learning and being able to provide the best care for their patients down the road.
