For Accepted Students

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Offers of acceptance are typically sent in three batches: mid-December, mid-February, and early March. In addition, Vanderbilt utilizes the robust waitlist to fill the class from the beginning of May to the end of June. But, the Admissions Committee reserves the right to change this schedule as needed.

Candidates must reply to an offer of acceptance via an online process within two weeks of invitation. At that time, admitted candidates must read and agree to the Honor Code and Technical Standards. No deposit is required to hold a place. Initial offers of acceptance are conditional based on a satisfactory criminal background check coordinated by the AAMC. It is also contingent on the receipt of a candidate’s final official transcript indicating the satisfactory completion of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution. If a student wishes to relinquish a place in the class, the individual must email that request along with his/her/their AAMC ID Number. Please email mdadmissions@vanderbilt.edu, if you have any questions.

Second Look Weekend

Vanderbilt plans an all-encompassing Second Look Weekend for admitted students. This in-person event will take place in March or April. More details will be provided to admitted students starting in January. Please contact the Office of Enrollment Services if you have any questions.
