Core Facilities
A major asset enjoyed by all Basic Sciences researchers is the availability of a large number of core laboratories or shared resources that provide specialized equipment, services, and expertise not usually available in the laboratories of individual investigators. Most cores are associated with Basic Sciences’ seven research centers, but they are available to all investigators.
- Advanced Computing Center for Research and Education (ACCRE)
- Biomolecular NMR Facility
- Cancer & Immunology Core (CIC)
- Cell and Developmental Biology Equipment Resource
- Cell Imaging Shared Resource (CISR), which is subdivided into the following:
- Center for Structural Biology Computing Core Facilities
- Creative Data Solutions
- Cryo-Electron Microscopy Facility
- High-Throughput Screening Facility
- Mass Cytometry Center of Excellence
- Mass Spectrometry Research Center, which houses the following cores:
- Molecular Design and Synthesis Center
- Mouse Metabolic Phenotyping Center (VMMPC), which houses the following cores:
- Mouse Neurobehavior Lab (MNL)
- Neurochemistry Core
