Marnett Announcement

Marnett_Larry-2012-DD023.jpgWe are thrilled to announce that an esteemed member of our Biochemistry faculty, Dr. Lawrence J. "Larry" Marnett, has been chosen as the next Associate Vice Chancellor for Research and Senior Associate Dean for Biomedical Sciences. Congratulations to Dr. Marnett! His proven leadership, thoughtfully measured style of speaking, and strong science background will surely steer Vanderbilt toward a bright future. As said by the man himself, "It is  an exciting time for biomedical research, with ever-greater technological capability and the ability to relate fundamental discoveries to human health like never before."

We hope that you all take a moment to congratulate your fine colleague on this great opportunity. Larry will succeed Dr. Susan Wente on September 1, 2014, and will work with other leaders across our institution in implementing Vanderbilt's ongoing strategic plan.
