Summer might be winding down, but it's not over yet! Are you looking for a break from studying for Step 1 or celebrating the end of FMK or need something to do while friends and family are visiting? If this is you or you are just looking for some fun (and potentially free) adventures around Nashville in August we've compiled a list for you!

Live on the Green

  • Check out this free music festival that begins August 9th and goes until September 1st! Concerts typically happen on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Every year there are some well known artists that you can check out for free!

Try an Escape Game in Nashville

  • This makes for a great group activity, especially in rainy weather. Get locked in a room with your friends (or strangers) as you try to solve clues to find the key to escape! There are always new storylines to check out.

Big Band Dance at Centennial Park

  • At least once, the dancers and the rest of us, need to head over to Centennial Park on Saturday from 7pm to 10pm and conquer the dance floor. For August, there is Rumba, Foxtrot, Tango, and Swing dances left!

Shakespeare in the Park

  • This season, the company will be performing Midsummer’s Night Dream. Admission is free although donations are suggested. This will occur at Centennial Park August 9th through September 9th!

Full Moon Picking Party

  • Only there more of these left! Head on over to Percy Warner Park Equestrian Center to hear some quality bluegrass music. But wait, there is more! There are jam circles, mango beer, and plenty of food trucks. Enjoy the beautiful outdoors and makes sure to bring a picnic blanket, bug spray, and some company!

Musicians Corner

  • This local concert happens right in our back yard at Centennial Park on Thursdays in September. They feature a wide range of artists and you will leave impressed! Plus the variety of food trucks makes this a great lazy afternoon activity.
