2023 AAP/ASCI/APSA Joint Meeting

From April 21-23, 2023, nine Vanderbilt MSTP students attended the Joint Meeting between the American Physician-Scientists Association (APSA), American Society of Clinical Investigation (ASCI), and Association of American Physicians (AAP) in Chicago, IL. Students were fortunate to attend fantastic scientific talks from world renowned scientists including William G. Kaelin, Jr., MD (a Nobel Laureate), Richard P. Lifton, MD, PhD, and Diana W. Bianchi, MD. Attendees also had the opportunity to present their current research as posters, receiving feedback from their peers and experts in their respective fields. Additionally, there were several invaluable networking sessions including a Mentorship Breakfast, Specialty Interest Breakfast, and Residency Luncheon, during which students spoke with leaders across various institutions about this important topics. Finally, students were able to explore Chicago and have some fun, too!
