Matt Stier (M3) was selected for an award from the American Association of Immunologists for his oral abstract titled “IL-33 promotes the egress of group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2) from the bone marrow,” presented at the 2017 Southeastern Immunology Symposium in Nashville, TN on June 17-18th.
Rising M2s gathered to play board games and break a fast during the Islamic month of Ramadan, hosted by Ayesha Muhammad (M2).
Cody Stothers (G2) and his girlfriend, Caley, bought a house in East Nashville.

Merla Hubler (G5) spoke about the importance of funding biomedical research with the office of United States Senator Bob Corker (TN) at Capitol Hill Day, hosted by the American Association of Immunologists (AAI).
Selby and Kevin Graepel (G3), along with the rest of Nashville, caught Preds fever during the team's two-month NHL playoff run. The Predators won their franchise's first Western Conference Championship since their founding in 1998.
Daniel Moore, MD, PhD, Goodpasture Advising College Leader and PI to Blair Stocks (M4) and Kelsey McNew (G1) is the prinicipal investigator on an exciting new study at Vanderbilt that leverages the body's own immune system to potentially reduce the severity in newly diagnosed Type 1 diabetes patients.
