MSTP Celebrations – July

Artwork by Ayaka Sugiura (G2) was featured on the cover of Cell Metabolism, accompanying a review titled, “Similarities and Distinctions of Cancer and Immune Metabolism in Inflammation and Tumors,” by Gabriela Andrejeva, Ph.D., a post-doctoral fellow in the lab of Ayaka’s P.I., Jeff Rathmell, Ph.D.  The ballerina represents a T-cell, while the man hanging is a tumor cell.  The tightrope represents the metabolic balance between them.

Congratulations to Natalie Bennett (M1), who married high school sweetheart Greg Soble in Nashville on May 21st!

Congratulations to Katherine Konvinse (G3) for receiving her F30 NRSA Fellowship!

Shan Parikh (G4) and Meghana celebrated their wedding in Stockton, NJ on a lovely alpaca farm on June 24th, 2017.  At the end of three years of long distance, they finally get to be together forever – living it up in Nashtown.

Matt Wleklinski (G1) couldn’t be happier with his first house!
