National MD-PhD Student Conference 2024

This July, MSTP students Sarah Reed (G4), Duby Okonkwo (G2), Riley Bergman (G5), Matthew Loberg (G5), Arlene Garcia (G3), Candace Grisham (G4), and Nada Elsayed (G3), attended the 39th Annual National MD-PhD Student Conference in Breckenridge Colorado. The conference brings MSTP students and faculty from across the country to hear excellent keynote speakers, student oral and poster presentations, a diverse career panel, and breakout sessions focused on topics applicable to MD-PhD student training. Our students took advantage of this opportunity to connect with fellow MSTP students, meet with Physician Scientist Training Program directors, and reconnect with the current NCI director and previous VUMC chair of the Department of Medicine, Dr. Kim Rathmell (pictured above).
