Dr. Ethan Lee, Professor of Cell & Developmental Biology and Pharmacology, serves as Associate Director for the MSTP. Dr. Lee is a graduate of the University of Texas-Southwestern MSTP where he studied cell signaling under Dr. Al Gilman. This was followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard in Dr. Marc Kirschner’s lab, where he developed a biochemical and mathematical system for studying Wnt/beta-catenin signaling, a research focus that has continued throughout his career. He was recruited to Vanderbilt in 2003 as an Assistant Professor in Cell and Developmental Biology. Dr. Lee has considerable mentoring experience, having trained numerous graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. He joined the MSTP Leadership Team in 2023.
