Biography:

Mary Sue Fino-Szumski, Ph.D., M.B.A., CCC-A is Director of Clinical Education and Assistant Professor in the Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University (Ph.D.) and Belmont University, Jack C. Massey College of Business (M.B.A. with a healthcare emphasis). Dr. Fino-Szumski teaches graduate courses and guest lectures on a variety of management topics including billing and coding, business and financial  management, securing employment, and privacy. In addition, she works with students to ensure they achieve their clinical goals and meet credentialing requirements. She is a member of ASHA’s Council for Clinical Certification in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CFCC) and is the current Vice Chair for Audiology.
