Biography: 

Richard A. Roberts, Ph.D. is Vice Chair of Clinical Operations and Assistant Professor in the Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences at the Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Prior to this position, he was Director of Vestibular Services at Alabama Hearing & Balance Associates, Inc., a private audiology practice owned with his wife, Elizabeth C. Roberts, Au.D. in Foley, Alabama. Other current affiliations include Temporary Graduate Faculty, Graduate Program in Communication Sciences & Disorders at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and also Adjunct Graduate Faculty in Communication Sciences and Disorders at The University of Memphis.

Dr. Roberts is frequently invited to lecture on various topics related to his primary area of interest, assessment and management of vestibular dysfunction. He also helped develop the Auditory Test of Temporal Resolution (ATTR) with Jennifer J. Lister, Ph.D. This psychoacoustics tool is made available for free to researchers around the world. Dr. Roberts has served on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Audiology and the Alabama Academy of Audiology. He is currently a Trustee of the American Academy of Audiology Foundation.
