Valeria Matlock
Associate Professor and Director of Student Community Engagement
Valeria R. Matlock, EdD, CCC-A, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Valeria holds a B.S. degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology, a M.Ed degree in Audiology, and a Doctoral degree in Curriculum Planning and Instruction. She worked as a clinical Audiologist at the Bill Wilkerson Center prior to her 26-year career as a professor and clinical Audiologist at Tennessee State University. Valeria enjoys mentoring students and early career professionals in CSD, participating in community engagement and advocacy activities, and volunteering with professional associations.
