FREE One-Day Registration to AAGP Annual Meeting
The American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry (AAGP) 2019 Annual Meeting will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, on March 1 – 4 at the Hilton Atlanta. We are excited to offer FREE one-day registration to the AAGP Annual Meeting for medical students/residents on Saturday, March 2nd for the AAGP Scholars Program. Advance registration is required by February 15.
Scholars Program for Medical Students and Psychiatry Residents (8:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.)
This program is designed to increase interest in geriatric psychiatry among medical students and psychiatry residents. Medical students and residents will learn more about clinical elective and research opportunities during medical school, as well as opportunities available in psychiatry residency programs. The program also showcases the benefits of fellowship training in geriatric psychiatry, educates residents about the scope and practice of geriatric psychiatry.
Scholars Mentoring Lunch (12:45 p.m.–2:45 p.m.)
Following the Scholars Program morning meetings, all program participants will attend a luncheon, along with their assigned AAGP mentor. This special event is an excellent opportunity to learn more about geriatric psychiatry and make a connection with a mentor who can assist you in making career decisions, connecting with others in the field, and advancing your academic achievements.
