Application for Data Science Essentials

To be eligible to apply for this module, you must be a Vanderbilt PhD student or postdoctoral fellow in the biomedical sciences. Additionally:

• PhD students must be affiliated with a School of Medicine department or program, or have been admitted through the IGP, QCB, or IMSD.
• PhD students must have passed their qualifying exams before the module begins on August 19.
• Postdoctoral fellows must be conducting research in a biomedical sciences department or program affiliated with VU School of Medicine or VUMC; preference will be given to postdoctoral fellows who have been in their laboratory for at least six months, but all are welcome to apply.

The application deadline is  Monday, August 3rd 5 PM. Applicants will be notified in mid August whether they are accepted into the module. If accepted, we ask that you complete a free online short course offered by DataCamp, Intro to Python for Data Science, prior to the first day of class on August 26. This short course should take about 4 hours.
