CV / Resume Drop In Clinic
The BRET Office of Career Development provides a CV/Resume Drop-in Clinic for biomedical sciences PhD students and postdoctoral fellows. The Clinic happens every Wednesday, from 12:30-1:30pm, in Light Hall, Suite 340. Please sign in at the front desk and wait in the gray chairs beyond the sign in sheet.
The CV/Resume Drop-In Clinic is a chance to bring a printed copy of your resume, CV, cover letter, or LinkedIn profile to one of the three career development professionals available. They will then review your document with you and talk about proposed changes. The time commitment is approximately 15-25 minutes.
We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity before you seek a one-on-one individual session.
Our advice will align with the two resources:
Please note that the drop-in clinic is for biomedical research trainees only. Sorry, but we are unable to serve VU or VUMC staff or residents. Students in professional health sciences programs (e.g. nursing, medicine, public health) should contact their program for assistance preparing a CV or resume consistent with standards in their field.
