Oct. 14, 2024—Exciting Opportunity: Apply for the Research America Civic Engagement Microgrant Program 2024-2025! We are thrilled to announce that Research America’s Civic Engagement Microgrant Program, now in its seventh year, is currently accepting applications for the 2024-2025 cohort! This program provides funding to groups led by STEMM graduate students, post-docs, and professional students in STEMM fields for projects related to public engagement. The 2024-2025 microgrants are generously funded by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Over the years, past grantees have developed and led various high-impact projects such as: organizing roundtable discussions with community members and public officials about local concerns sharing the wonder of science with K-12 students creating compelling podcasts about science topics using data visualization to address public health concerns and MUCH more! Participation in the microgrant program allows early career researchers to build transferable skills and gain relevant experience for professional opportunities both inside and outside of academia.
