All module participants will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end, pending regular attendance without unexcused absences, and completion of the data science project.
Attendance policy
Twelve individuals will be selected for this unique module. Since this is a limited enrollment opportunity, we will select participants who can commit to attending all sessions and completing the data science project. Limited absences for professional obligations like scientific conferences are understandable and should be discussed in advance with the course Program Manager. Unexcused absences will influence your ability to register for future ASPIRE program activities and obtain travel funds for ASPIRE on the Road trip or ASPIRE internships.
We do not notify research advisors that their student or postdoc is participating in an ASPIRE module. Instead, we encourage all trainees to maintain open communication with their advisor about their professional development and discuss time away from the lab with their research advisor in advance of accepting a position in the module.
