My research in the Jones Lab focuses on the M1 muscarinic acetylcholine receptor as a target for modulating sleep-wake architecture and arousal in aging and Alzheimer’s disease. This involves assessing sleep-wake architecture following administration of muscarinic tool compounds and anatomical studies assessing cholinergic integrity change with aging and disease.
