The Senior Medical Writer is a professional and a leader possessing specialized skills and experience in critical analysis of biomedical research, written scientific and medical communication, educational design and content development, and editing of continuing education activities for healthcare professionals.

  

Position Duties:

Responsible to complete quality scientific and medical writing as assigned by the Chief Scientific Officer
Assist the Chief Scientific Officer in mentoring the medical writers on the content team, and oversight of project deliverables
Plan and develop medial/scientific content for peer-reviewed journal articles, scientific monographs, and other print or e-print manuscripts.
Perform literature review of clinical trials, peer-reviewed articles, and other medical/scientific date  sources to obtain credible content
Plan and develop content intended for CME/CE accreditation and/or medical/ scientific education
Develop needs assessments and instructional designs for grant development as identified by the Chief Scientific Officer

Knowledge/Requirements

Experience in independently designing and developing continuing education activities for healthcare professionals
Minimum Master's degree in a biomedical or health-related scientific field, PhD, PharmD or MD preferred, commensurate with the scope of educational services performed; education and experience in communications or journalism are also preferred.
Prior experience in CME development and instructional design is required, or highly preferred.
Ability to conduct critical analysis of biomedical research, written scientific and medical communications, educational design and content development, and grant writing
Must be able to work full time onsite
