Writers needed for Fall 2016 BRET Newsletter: Results and Discussion (deadline to apply: Friday, June 24, 2016)
The BRET Office of Career Development is seeking volunteers to write articles that will be published in the biannual newsletter, "Results and Discussion." (Spring 2016, Issue 3)This newsletter highlights research accomplishments of BRET graduate students and postdoctoral fellows and features stories on activities and resources available to BRET trainees.
If you choose to volunteer, you will be assigned a publication and asked to write a 2,500-3,000 character long profile. We ask that all writers contact the first author(s) to set up an in-person interview and incorporate quotes into the article. While we would like for you to highlight the significance and impact of the research, we also ask that you work in some personal aspects of the story if possible.
This newsletter is written for a general audience and will be sent out later this fall to BRET alumni and families of BRET trainees to share some of our graduate students’ and postdocs’ recent successes. To ensure there is plenty of time to put the newsletter together, we ask that all writers send me their first draft within one month of the assignment.
If you are interested in writing or have any questions, please let Marilyn know by
Friday, June 24, 2016.
