Assistant Director of Professional Development
The Assistant Director of Professional Development in the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs is responsible for the implementation of University-wide programs and initiatives that support the professional, personal, and career development of graduate students and postdocs.
The Assistant Director will provide individual career advising for graduate students and postdocs and will collaborate in the development and delivery of new programs and opportunities in support of their professional development. Implementation of these programs will involve organizing and presenting at regular seminars, workshops, and other events designed to support career and professional development.
The successful applicant will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong desire to work with students, postdocs, faculty, and administrators from a wide range of fields across the University. Significant experience with advising and mentoring graduate students is strongly preferred, as is experience in a postdoctoral trainee-ship.
