On September 1, Life Science Tennessee is hosting a conversation between Hedgeye health care analyst Emily Evans and Gillian Hooker, head of federal policy at local diagnostics company NextGxDx.

Dr. Hooker is the Vice President of Clinical Development with the Nashville-based diagnostics technology company, NextGxDx, which builds software tools to support genetic test ordering and reimbursement. She is active in research projects exploring trends in genetic testing, including the integration of nextgen sequencing technologies and its subsequent impact on the genetic testing market, genetic counseling and clinical care.

Emily is a Senior Healthcare Policy Analyst at Hedgeye Risk Management. Prior to joining Hedgeye Risk Management, Emily was a partner at Obsidian Research, a healthcare research boutique that she founded. She has over three decades of professional experience working both in and around government.
