Volunteer Opportunity: Co-Editor-in-Chief for BRET Newsletter, “Results and Discussion”

Posted by on Monday, November 21, 2016 in Uncategorized .

The BRET Office of Career Development is seeking a volunteer Content Editor to assist in the preparation and publication of the biannual newsletter, "Results and Discussion".  This newsletter highlights research accomplishments of BRET graduate students and postdoctoral fellows and features stories on activities and resources available to BRET trainees.

For this role, we are seeking a motivated and organized graduate student or postdoctoral fellow who has a strong interest in developing an editorial toolkit for communicating science to a general audience. This individual will work closely with the current Co-Editor-in-Chief to edit the Spring 2017 issue.

We would like to find someone who could begin working with us immediately on the April 2017 issue as a training period with the idea of taking over the Co-Editor-in-Chief position in May for production of the October 2017 issue.

The newsletter is published in print and electronically in April and October each year.  It is distributed to current trainees and faculty, families of trainees, as well as alumni of the BRET program and various community partners.

Please contact Ashley Brady at ashley.brady@vanderbilt.edu if you are interested in learning more about this exciting opportunity to put your editing skills to work.
