VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR – CHEMISTRY Hillsdale College
The Chemistry Department at Hillsdale College invites applications for a 3-year full-time visiting assistant professor position. Teaching responsibilities include the general chemistry course sequence along with associated laboratory sections, with the possibility to be involved in other courses depending on the candidate’s interests. The opportunity exists to mentor undergraduate thesis research projects, but this is not required. The position starts August 2017 and requires passionate commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level. Hillsdale is a thriving, collegial, ACS-approved department with outstanding students and facilities. Each year we graduate 15-25 majors in chemistry and biochemistry.
Review of applications will begin on March 1, 2017, and will continue until the position is filled. Ph.D. or A.B.D. in chemistry is required. Applicants should submit a cover letter, CV, a brief statement describing your teaching experience and philosophy, undergraduate and graduate transcripts, and three letters of recommendation.
