Assistant Professor in Biomedical Sciences-Physiology, Nutrition and Pharmacology
The Department of Biomedical Sciences in the College of Health Sciences at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI is seeking applications from individuals devoted to a career involving biomedical-related instruction to undergraduate, post-baccalaureate and health professional students to fill a full-time non-tenure track faculty position. Specific areas of teaching include nutrition, human physiology and pharmacology.

The Department of Biomedical Sciences is a research-intensive department that is responsible for teaching a broad medically-oriented curriculum to a variety of undergraduate and heath professional students, including students in the Marquette University School of Dentistry and Master’s Program in Physician Assistant Studies.
Our non-tenure track teaching faculty are equal contributors to the department’s mission. As a result, the successful applicant for this position will be compensated at a level comparable to our tenure-track, research-oriented faculty including an excellent salary and benefits package.
Teaching requirements include courses in nutrition, pharmacology, and human physiology, including a physiology lab course. Experience teaching health professional (medical, dental, physician assistant) students is desirable, but not required. Additional duties will include academic advising. The successful candidate will be expected to be a full and active participant in the Biomedical Sciences department and engage in service activities at the college/university level.
A doctoral degree or comparable terminal degree is required. The expected start date is in July or August of 2017.
