Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Computational Biology
Fisk University (www.fisk.edu) invites applications for an assistant professor in computational biology, tenure track, with demonstrated potential for excellence in student-centered undergraduate teaching and for developing a research program capable of attracting external funding and publishing peer-reviewed papers with undergraduate co-authors. The faculty member also will serve as a mentor in the nationally recognized Fisk-Vanderbilt Master’s to PhD Bridge Program. A Ph.D. and training that embraces both biological and computational sciences is required, and postdoctoral training is optimal. This faculty role will include teaching as well as research expectations, with earliest teaching expectations to introduce computational approaches into genetics and related courses.
