Job Description
The Program Director for Boston University's BEST grant will implement the grants initiatives to prepare graduate students and post-doctoral fellows for future jobs in the biomedical workforce. The Program Director will help to implement policies and procedures to carry out BU's BEST initiatives, including, but not limited to curriculum development and advancement of a university culture that prepares trainees for positions in a variety of sectors. The Program Director will serve as a liaison between trainees, faculty, administration, alumni and external consultants to coordinate career advancement efforts. The position requires firsthand experience managing a large project or grant, an ability to craft and implement programming and the ability to present ideas and initiatives to a wide audience.
This position is grant funded.
Required Skills
PhD in a biomedical science-related discipline or MA with 3-5 years of experience. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills as well as experience in program development, implementation and evaluation. The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
