Vanderbilt Summer Academy seeks teaching assistants for residential programs for talented youths
Vanderbilt Summer Academy is a summer residential program for academically gifted students in grades 8-12. Students typically score in the 95th percentile or higher on a nationally normed achievement test. They will spend between 1-3 weeks on campus, taking college-level classes taught by Vanderbilt professors and PhD students. The Teaching Assistant works with the instructor and VSA staff to ensure that students are appropriately challenged and supported during their time with the program.
The program is currently seeking Teaching Assistants to provide program, pedagogical, logistical, and student support. These are paid positions that require full-time commitment during the sessions, which range from 1 to 3 weeks each. The program is eager to have content experts serve as TAs and current MS or PhD students are preferred. Many individuals who serve as TAs will go on to serve as instructors in future years. More information and application details are available on their website.
