Internship opportunity: Grad Intern – R&D (PKDM Transporter), Amgen, Cambridge, MA
Grad Intern – R&D (PKDM Transporter)
US – Massachusetts – Cambridge
Relocation in the form of a miscellaneous allowance will be provided for eligible candidates.
The intern will focus on commercially available physiologically relevant 3D liver model systems to evaluate their application in improving in vitro to in vivo correlation (IVIVC) for small molecules pharmacokinetics, when transporters play an important role in the their elimination and disposition. The work will provide insight into our understanding of the value and limitations of available 3D liver models to potentially improve IVIVC in situations where metabolism and transporters work in concert to determine drug clearance . Additionally, the intern will have the opportunity to learn a variety of in vitro tools used to study drug interaction with transporters to support drug discovery and development. Depending on the progress made during this project, this work may lead to a peer reviewed publication.
