VECD Fogarty Global Health Fellowship applications open

Vanderbilt-Emory-Cornell-Duke (VECD) is one of six consortia that comprise the Fogarty Global Health Program for Fellows and Scholars, which replaced the Fogarty International Clinical Research Scholars & Fellows (FICRS-F) Program in 2012. The purpose of this program is to provide mentored global health research training opportunities in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) for pre- and post-doctoral candidates from the U.S. and LMICs. The program is sponsored by the Fogarty International Center (FIC) and several collaborating Institutes and Centers at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Multiple training sites are available through the Vanderbilt-Emory-Cornell-Duke (VECD) Consortium.

The VECD Fogarty Global Health Fellowship Program is sponsored by Fogarty International Center at the National Institutes of Health with the support from partners across NIH, including:

  • Office of the Director (OD)
  • Office of AIDS Resarch (OAR)
  • Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research (OBSSR)
  • National Eye Institute (NEI)
  • National Cancer Institute (NCI)
  • National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI)
  • National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK)
  • National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH)
  • National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS)
  • National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR)
