The Vanderbilt Healthcare Consulting Group is recruiting for spring projects
What is the Healthcare Consulting Group (VHCG)?
We are a nonprofit, volunteer, multidisciplinary consulting organization that aims to create and foster opportunities to work on significant healthcare management, operations, quality, and performance improvement projects. Our purpose is to improve patient care and to support training and development of healthcare innovators and leaders. Last semester, one project was dedicated to bringing telemedicine to the student-run free clinic, Shade Tree. A second project was a spend analysis at Shade Tree, looking for opportunities to cut costs.
What is the Medicine & Business Society?
We are an organization dedicated to promoting education and engagement in business, management, and economics among future physicians. VHCG is a branch under the Medicine & Business Society.
Why should you join?
This will be an opportunity to practice and improve problem solving skills, to engage in healthcare delivery dynamically, and to learn about medicine from a different lens. Last semester’s projects produced three abstracts and poster presentations at conferences.
