Pfizer’s 2021 Summer Student Worker Program (SWP)
Applications for Pfizer’s 2021 Summer Student Worker Program (SWP) will be accepted starting on January 12, 2021. This program is jointly managed by Pfizer and Atrium Payroll Services. The SWP provides short-term student work to support Pfizer’s business needs during the summer months. The program seeks to add value to the business through staff augmentation to accomplish departmental goals while offering practical and valuable business experience to the student participant. Student Workers will be employed by Atrium Payroll Services.

How do I know if I’m eligible to apply?
In order to be eligible, you must:
- Be legally authorized to work in the U.S. This Program can not support applicants with CPT/OPT/Practical Training type work authorizations.
- Be at least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
- Be currently enrolled and will have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies by May of 2021
- Have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA as of the most recently completed semester
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program for the semester immediately following the summer program
When do the assignments begin and end?
Typically, assignments begin in May and last through August, depending on business needs and your availability.
What are the positions I can apply to?
During the application process you will be asked to select your areas of interest. The job categories provided on the portal only represent the types of positions; they are not the actual positions that are available for placement. You may select more than one job category, however we ask that you select only to job categories that best represent your interests and qualifications. All eligible applicants will be considered for opportunities within the program based on qualifications, interests and experience. Cover letters are encouraged but not required.
If I apply, when will I know if I am selected?
Given the highly competitive nature of the program, we cannot guarantee that all applicants will be placed. We conduct interviews on a rolling basis; students are contacted if they are selected by managers for an interview. Interviews typically occur between February and mid-April. Applicants who are not selected for a position will be notified via email by mid-May. Communications are delivered to the email address you provide when you register. An Applicant Tracking System is utilized to issue these emails so, please be sure to check your inbox or spam folder frequently.
Where are assignments located?
Pfizer has locations throughout the U.S.; the online application process will ask you to identify which location(s) are feasible for you.
If I participated in the program in the past, can I apply again for this summer?
Students can participate in the Summer Student Worker Program for a maximum of two summers. Students who have applied previously would need to re- apply in order to be considered for the 2021 SWP.
