With the goal to accelerate discovery, the Health Research Alliance and PLOS present the Essay Challenge: “Reimagine Biomedical Research for a Healthier Future.” In addition to cash prizes, winners will be published in PLOS and highlighted in an HRA-hosted webinar. Details can be found here.
The community is encouraged to submit succinct 1500-word essays proposing bold, collaborative, systemic changes that re-commit to serving society and achieving an equitable, diverse, and creative environment for all those working to advance scientific discovery and improve human well-being. The winning essay will be published in either PLOS Biology or PLOS Medicine, and runners up will be published on the PLOS Blogs network — and there are also cash prizes.
