Dan O’Brien is an Assistant Scientific Director at AbbVie in Gastroenterology. Prior to joining AbbVie, he earned his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Washington University in St. Louis and did his postdoctoral work in the Warner Center for Neuroscience Drug Discovery under the mentorship of Dr. Jeffrey Conn. At AbbVie, he began working as a medical writer for the Hepatology and Dermatology franchises and then transitioned to a publication manager role supporting AbbVie Dermatology publications before moving to his current role.
