Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking driven and innovative Postdoctoral Scientists in immunogenicity pharmacokinetics (PK) to join our Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) Department at our Ridgefield, CT facility.
The DMPK Department is currently recruiting three postdoctoral scientists to explore and execute experiments using cutting-edge approaches to enhance understanding of immunogenicity, pharmacokinetics (PK) and the fate determination of novel biotherapeutic antibodies and viral gene vector modalities. The candidates will work in a matrixed environment to establish novel in vitro/ ex vivo/ in vivo systems under development internally or through academic partnerships, such as animal models, proteomics, molecular and cellular immune functional systems, physiological micro-physiological models and tissue measurements of drug/target. The scientists will be expected to initiate, present, and publish research findings in internal and external scientific communities.

As a Postdoctoral Fellow positioned within the Drug Concept Discovery group, you will perform innovative research aimed at understanding cellular crosstalk linked to inflammation and aberrant tissue remodeling mechanisms with relevance towards fibrostenotic inflammatory bowel diseases, interstitial lung diseases and systemic sclerosis.

As a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Immunology Drug Concept Discovery group, you will perform innovative research aimed at pioneering new understanding in macrophage biology with emphasis on revealing novel mechanisms of innate sensing, inflammation and tissue remodeling linked to fibro-inflammatory diseases with emphasis on inflammatory bowel disease. The ideal candidate has demonstrated talent in 1) CRISPR/CAS9-based engineering of human induce pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) lines, 2) skill differentiating iPSC lines into monocytes and macrophages and 3) solid skills applying cell biological approaches for innovative functional profiling studies with the aim of pioneering deeper understanding of the role of novel pathways and proteins in innate sensing and aberrant tissue remodeling mechanisms. The candidate must be excited about working alongside innovative drug discovery scientists in the Immunology & Respiratory Disease Research department in Ridgefield, CT, as well as collaborating with additional colleagues located at our European research sites. The Post-Doctoral fellow will regularly communicate research progress and findings at internal company group meetings as well as external conferences and is expected to strive to publish high impact scientific reports for the external scientific community.
