Academic Laboratory Management & Leadership Symposium (ALMLS)
The Academic Laboratory Management & Leadership Symposium (ALMLS), is a course is organized by postdoc career development administrators from The Torrey Pines Training Consortium (TPTC), which members include Salk Institute for Biological Studies, Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute (SBP), Scripps Research and UC San Diego.
The ALMLS course is based on the acclaimed Burroughs Wellcome Fund/Howard Hughes Medical Institute course in scientific management and similar intensive programs developed across the country. The course is designed to equip postdocs and junior faculty in the biomedical, physical and life sciences with the professional competencies to lead innovative and productive research programs. However, graduate students and research staff may also find this training informative and may attend.
The 2023 ALMLS is being held virtual via zoom across 4 days in March 2023. The full schedule of workshops can be found on the ALMLS webpage and is also included on the attached flyer.
Dates are March 1 & 3 and March 8 & 10
Each event day is scheduled for 10:00am-2:00pm (PT) / 1:00pm-5:00pm (ET)
