The California EPA’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) has a range of scientific job openings that include the following positions for exposure scientists, epidemiologists, and biostatisticians as of February 23, 2024. Positions may be based out of either our Sacramento or our Oakland office.

Research Scientist III (Epidemiology/Biostatistics)
If you have a Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or a closely related field & at least 1 year of additional research experience
Senior Environmental Scientist (Specialist)
If you have a Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to the environmental or life sciences & at least 5 years of additional experience, or a Master’s Degree & at least 4 years of additional experience, or a Ph.D. & at least 3 years of additional experience
- Senior Environmental Scientist (Biomonitoring California Program)
- Exposure Scientist, Cancer Toxicology and Epidemiology
- Proposition 65 Ombudsperson
- Extreme Heat Senior Environmental Scientist
Research Scientist IV (Epidemiology/Biostatistics)
If you have a Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or a closely related field & at least 2 years of additional research experience
