Job Opportunity: Postdoctoral Fellow – Kidney Cell Biology, Bock-Pozzi-Zent Kidney Cell Biology Laboratory, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, TN
We are recruiting a postdoctoral fellow (start July 2024) in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension in the Bock-Pozzi-Zent Kidney Cell Biology Laboratory. We are generally interested in understanding how the actin cytoskeleton enables the complex morphologies of kidney tubular epithelial cells. Research projects include determining the role of actin cytoskeletal regulation in kidney tubular development (https://rupress.org/jcb/article/220/11/e202103080/212704/) or regeneration (https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/sciadv.adi7840). To address these questions, we use mouse and cell culture models, mouse phenotyping, various molecular biology and biochemistry tools, and advanced high-resolution imaging. The postdoctoral fellow will be part of a well-funded dynamic research group with excellent mentoring and opportunities for career advancement, along with a competitive salary and fringe benefits.
Those interested should send a CV and cover letter to Fabian Bock (fabian.bock@vumc.org).
