Pint of Science… show off your research!
Nashville’s “Pint of Science” is a 3-day event where we gather around a local brewery and hear speakers give presentations upon anything science. This year’s event is May 19-21 and will be hosted by Bearded Iris Brewery
Last year, Pint of Science returned to the US (from Europe), where we presented in 5 cities. This year, we are expanding to around 15 cities, including Nashville. Additionally, POS is looking for graduate students, postdocs or professors who are interested in giving a talk this year. We could use talks in psychiatry, psychology, neurology, and brain development!!
Pint of Science is a non-profit organization that welcomes and encourages any science including but not limited to: physics, biology, chemistry, computer science, medical science, astrophysics, cosmology, neuroscience, psychology, literature, etc. The point is to welcome any audience that are not very familiar with science and those who are familiar with it alike. In total, we will have 2 talks per day (~15-20 minutes each) therefore, the abstracts accepted are limited to 6.
If you are interested in becoming a speaker, please email Nashville Coordinator and current graduate student Jennifer James (jennifer.l.james@vanderbilt.edu).
