ORISE Symposium: STEM Storytelling
The upcoming ORISE Symposium, hosting by the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education. This inaugural event will take place virtually from August 26-28 and is geared toward current and former ORISE participants and other members of the STEM research community. There will be exciting opportunities to learn about the research activities of ORISE participants (ex. a poster competition, the Ignite Off!pitch competition) as well as several professional development webinars.
The theme for this year’s symposium is STEM Storytelling. Session topics include AI literacy in scientific research, navigating career uncertainty, and several keynote addresses – one from a senior scientist at Oak Ridge National Lab and one from an accomplished science communication professional.
