Posted by on Friday, September 26, 2025 in Announcements, Job Opportunities .

Through a collaborative partnership between Takeda and Northeastern University, we are pleased to offer post-doctoral fellowship opportunities for PharmD and PhD graduates. The majority of a fellow’s time will be spent at Takeda’s Cambridge, MA campus. The fellows will be employees of Northeastern University in Boston, Ma.

Fellows will learn the role of Global Medical Affairs, developing skills in the analysis, interpretation, and communication of clinical data while expanding their competencies in managing complex projects and working with global matrixed, multidisciplinary teams. Throughout both years of the fellowship program, mentorship opportunities and one-on-one interactions with Global Medical Affairs leaders will be available. This infusion of education and hands-on opportunity to perform innovative work will enable PharmD and PhD graduates to build their talent, knowledge-base, and stimulate their passion. Ultimately, this experience has been designed to prepare postdoctoral scholars for rewarding careers in biopharmaceutical industry.

In the first year, fellows will complete one 6-month core rotation and two 3-month elective rotations from a growing list of functions. Fellows will be integrated into typical daily workflows of each functional area while also participating in and potentially leading special projects and initiatives. In the second year, fellows will select a focus area aligned to their interests and deepen their industry knowledge by owning and leading projects and initiatives. An additional opportunity in the second year is the option to rotate with the Global Medical Leads, focusing on implementation of the medical strategy.

This is a two-year rotational fellowship program designed to provide recent graduates with hands-on experience across different teams within Global Medical Affairs at Takeda.

Takeda is eager to reach talented PhD students who are approaching graduation, as this program can be an excellent next step for those interested in medical affairs, the pharmaceutical industry, and translational research.
