Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Training Program in Molecular Therapeutics for Pediatric Cardiology
CHOP is recruiting postdocs for our NHLBI-Funded Research Training Program in Molecular Therapeutics for Pediatric Cardiology. This outstanding postdoctoral program, now in its 27th year, is a collaborative effort, based in the Cardiac Center at CHOP, that involves mentored research training from leading scientists at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. This forefront NIH-sponsored postdoctoral training program offers both mentored research training together with career development guidance in a number of important areas:
- Cardiovascular Pharmacology
- Gene Therapy
- Cardiac Development
- Cardiovascular Pathophysiology
- Clinical Investigations in Pediatric Cardiovascular Disease.
Clinical Research trainees also have tuition support provided for a Master Degree in Clinical Epidemiology, and other masters programs of relevance to clinical research. Examples of ongoing research fields include:
- Tissue Engineering
- Cardiac Development
- Biomaterials
- Gene Therapy for Vascular Injury
- Gene Therapy for Cardiac Arrhythmias
- Heart Valve Disease
- Heart Failure.
