Baylor School is an independent boarding school located in Chattanooga, TN. They have a unique program called Baylor Research, and, as the name suggests, it provides research experiences for students in their upper school (9th – 12th grade).
Baylor School is hiring for the faculty position of full-time Lead Research Scientist and Science Instructor in the upper school to begin in the 21-22 school year. The highly qualified candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in science (master’s or PhD in science preferred) and have a record of teaching/student advisement. Successful candidates will bring both the ability to lead students in real-life research in the candidate’s own field using Baylor’s fully furnished Molecular Biology lab as well and be able to teach a range of Life Science courses (preferably including all levels of Biology and Molecular Methods). Special consideration will be given to versatile candidates able to fill a variety of roles including coaching and living on-campus.
