Applicants are sought for full time, research faculty positions in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery
at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Candidates should have a record of publishing impactful
original research in the field of musculoskeletal health and a desire for a research-focused academic
career. Those with post-doctoral experience and a high potential for extramural funding will be
considered for the position of Assistant Professor. More experienced applicants with a demonstrated
record of maintaining extramural funding will be considered for rank of Associate Professor or
Professor.
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery maintains a strong commitment to innovative and collaborative

residents, fellows, and junior clinical faculty. Candidates should hold a doctoral degree and have
demonstrated expertise in rehabilitation science, epidemiology, health services research, psychology,
exercise physiology, health policy, biomedical or related fields.
